The weather this weekend has been totally bizarre. On Saturday morning there was really really heavy rain, I mean SERious amounts of rain. Which doesn't show at all in that picture of my brekkie, but trust me, it was torrential. So it was an indoorsy sort of day, and I allowed myself quite a lot of hooky time, messing about with more bunting.
.... they sat on the trampoline for aaaaaages making rainbow loom bracelets....
.... Little Miss popped on her new crocs - aren't they fabulous ...
We went for a wander on the field .... we are standing about 15 metres from our front door. How lucky are we :)
... wonderfully blue sky ...
.... the amazing wildflower area ....
... we took loooooads of photos, I'll share more of them another time :) ... but here's another couple ....
... a quick bit of outdoor gymnastics (by Little Miss, not me, I hasten to add)...
.... and a slow amble home ....
All in all rather lovely :) The weekend has gone far too fast, but no matter - I have lots of exciting things going on this week to keep me busy - and busy is just how I like it :)
Lovely photo's of a summery weekend (despite the moments of rain!)
ReplyDeleteWe are having an attack of loom bands in our house too.
Thanks Jay :) Attack of the Loom Bands - excellent name for something - might have to steal that one!
ReplyDeleteThat rain on Saturday really was something wasn't it!! It just didn't seem to stop. I am glad that it cleared up and the sun came out for you though, as it looks as though you had a fun time. I love those crocs, but I am not sure that I could get away with them! I do have a red pair that I wear in the garden, but not out and about! xx
ReplyDeleteWe also had that heavy rain! Funny weather eh?
ReplyDeleteHave a good week! By the way, my grandchildren are having an attack of loom bands too :)

Don't the weekends just whizz by. We spend all week looking forward to them and in the blink of an eye they have been and gone. Looks like you had a great time on your walk.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments on my blog. Saturday morning was full of thunder and lightening,, but that was early about 4 am. It was a nice day after that. I must teach myself to crochet!!
ReplyDeleteI did send you an email,, but it says you are a no-reply blogger!
DeleteDid it ?! No idea what that means! Must investigate settings later :) x

DeleteHi Jill! I am so glad Amy recommended your blog as I think I am going to like it here! That bunting really is lovely, so neat and beautiful colours. I knit, but I don't crochet, (yet!) It is on my list though! The wild flowers - wow - you are lucky to have somewhere so beautiful and close to your home! I do love those crocs and would quite like some for myself. Have a great weekend and I am looking forward to reading more. :)
